Robins in Tree....really!
O.K. O.K. I know if you have been following this blog you may be forgiven for saying " Oh no! Not more of this existentialist bullshit". This time it's real, at least as real as it get's for me, a mutation of Robins.
Robin Ice wine
This is what was attracting all the Robins. I have been passing these berries for weeks if not months wondering what was wrong with them, obviously nothing they just were not ready.

Prints
I dropped my S20 a couple of days ago. Slipped out of my gloved hand. The CF card door is a but dicky now and the close-up function seems to be inconsistent. The camera is difficult to use when wearing gloves.
Charlie
The cold spell is breaking thankfully. Charlie will be glad about that. There was no walk in the woods on Monday. He probably could have handled it happily, for me it was just too cold. It hit -37C with wind chill earlier in the day
Editing
What is a photograph? I spent some time on Sunday looking at some older film material. I had forgotten what a pleasureable experience that can be. I have archived digital files going back 10 years now, reviewing them is a chore. Newly made images are deleted permanently by a keystroke wither by design or accident. It takes a concentrated conscious effort to destroy a piece of film. There are millions of photographic images made every day, what happens to them? Few if any now seem to be headed for the shoebox in the closet. Are they just 21st century noise? No answers just questions on this very cold Sunday night in Toronto.

The sun was out for a while today which was a welcome change, when Charlie and I went for our walk the shadows were getting nice and long.

Sunday Shopping
I stopped and looked twice at my shopping cart yesterday. There was nothing exceptional about it for me whatsoever just the usual assortment of groceries and housekeeping items.
Napkins at Sneeky Dee's
Took A trip down to Bathurst and College to have lunch with my friend Pete yesterday. Had lunch at Sneeky Dee's for old times sake, Sneeky's is popular with students because you get a lot of food for not too much money. The food was not terribly good but the company was great. Pete did think it was pretty odd that I kept shooting pictures all through lunch, which is weird because Pete's a photographer and should understand these things, especially when the food's not too good.

On Monday morning we were all taken by surprise with a sudden unpredicted snow fall. Instantly our world is transformed, everything looks different.
Old Pictures
After Sunday lunch my father-in-law showed me some old pictures. I told him I would take a picture and put it on the internet tonight, he had trouble understanding what I was talking about.
Charlie's Sunday Swim
Charlie loves to swim. In Canada during the winter the lakes are generally too cold for swimming. So we take Charlie to Argyle Farms where on Sundays they allow dogs into their Hydrotherapy Pool.
